FIESTA EN LA CALLE’S ANNUAL LATIN AMERICA INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION – SOUTHSIDE PARK IN SACRAMENTO, SUNDAY September 6, 2015, A FREE FAMILY EVENT
(Sacramento, CA) Fiesta En La Calle’s celebrates all of Latin America’s Independences with a Festival representative of Latin America’s music, food, art, culture and traditions.
The festival will be the held at the legendary Southside Park which has been the home of many Latino culture celebrations and festivals for over 40 years. To celebrate this year’s festival, Fiesta En La Calle will adorn the park with the various colors and Flags of Latin American Independent Countries as well as many booths of the various Cultural Clubs located in the Sacramento region. The festivals highlight will be the Performance of one of the most well known Latin Legend Artist of all time, JORGE SANTANA. Santana will be delighting our ears with all of his hits with Bands like MALO, THE SANTANA BROTHERS, FANIA ALL STARS and his very own hits. Also taking the stage are JB Y SU MAMBO GOZADERA, CONJUNTO LIBERACION, LATIN TOUCH and CORASOL.
There are special performances by Brazilian Center Samba Dance Group known as “Mistura Brasilera Samba Dance Co., Ballet Folklorico De Aztlan and Yemaya Salsa Dancers. A special appearance is also on the list from the beautiful and current Reina De Fiestas Patrias, Ms. Cruz Coronado presenting the next and winner of Reina De Fiestas Patrias. As a bonus, a Classic Car Show will line one area of the park (for all those car enthusiasts), courtesy of Family First Auto Club.
The highly popular event will highlight the Latino community’s diverse culture through music, dance, classic auto show and traditional foods such as tacos, moles, grilled oysters, pupusas, burritos and yummy snacks such as fresh frutas, elotes, razpados and much more. The festival will be sure to give everyone plenty of food options, and of course what Latino event is complete without its traditional drinks? Margaritas and Imported Beers will be available for those mature event goers.
